The Blueprint

A blueprint is a two dimensional representation of a three dimensional object. Here each element will be isolated and given a brief explanation of its significance.

It is a fact that no one has ever seen an atom, yet chemists, biologists, and physicists all use the periodic table as a useful framework to organize the many different forms of chemical behavior. It is also a fact that the stories about the astrological creatures are not true. However, the myths and tales created a schematic of the night sky that is still used today in the science of astronomy.

I have been told that to look deeply into the mystical is to kill the divine mystery. However by definition, that which is divine can never die. Once a layer has been annotated, a new layer, just as mysterious, is revealed. So like Galileo, I will do what I can to map this inner sky.

"In the Beginning . . . "

In Genesis 1:6, God creates structure. The ancient philosophers demonstrated this passage by verically pulling one circle into two interlocking circles.

Jung called this diagram a picture of the collective unconscious.

The One which divides into two is also a trinity.

Closer examination shows that the firmament is formed from the almond shaped intersection of the two spheres.

The All Seeing Eye

God creates Adam and places him in the Garden of Eden. Man is of the earth and will live within the firmament. This simple diagram depicts both the collective unconscious and the personal conscious.

It is thought that when one understands both dimensions of consciousness, then that person is awake or aware.

We recognize this pictogram as The Eye of Horus, The All Seeing Eye of the Freemasons, and the Third Eye of Buddha. Those who consider the world imaginary or evil refer to this as the evil eye.

God Creates Eve

The same method that was used to divide The One into Heaven and Earth is used again to pull woman out of man.

The tree that was once the staff that Adam leaned on is now the center pole, world axis, or Tree of Good and Evil.

When we see the three-dimensional model, it becomes possible to see that the inner sanctum is a vertical almond shape.

If you look closely you can pick out the vesica pisces, the place where the two spheres merge.

The Seven Seals

Hindu tradition calls these energy vortexes, chakras. The science involving the chakras or spiritual levels is complicated.

Christians do not delve so deeply into the spiritual levels. They simply know these as the rainbow of Noah, as the steps up the mountain toward God, the rungs of Jacob’s Ladder, or the seven seals on the scroll in Revelation.

A Womb or A Tomb?

The center section, where the two spheres converge has many names. Just a few of them are: The Land of Midian, The Inner Sanctum, The Eye of the Needle, The Bridal Chamber, The Wineskin, The Vesica Pisces or Belly of the Fish, The Womb, and The Tomb.

In the myth of Pandora's Box, there was a mistranslation in the English version of the story. The original Greek word for the container Pandora receives from Zeus is pithos. This ancient jar was approximately 5 feet tall. It was used to both store food stuffs and as a container to bury the dead.

The Greek considered the soul feminine, while the body was masculine. By giving the main character a feminine name and the gifts of the Gods, the authors of this story are talking about the spiritual realm or matters of the soul. It was never meant to be a hate tale against caporal women.

The three dimensional model gives a better view of what this shape really looks like.

It is the process of spiritual development within this container that we will be addressing in this book.

For those familiar with the Egyptian hieroglyph that is reported to be a light bulb, this looks very much like that glyph. It seems that someone has confused the inner and outer worlds.

Most spiritual systems consider the body to be this container, which is the merger of both masculine and feminine attributes.

Carl Jung's theory of animus and anima defined the unconscious as containing both masculine and feminine qualities, in the modern era. However, this is not a new idea. All myth is based on this concept.

Jacob's Ladder, Spiral Staircase, Caduceus, or DNA strand

Next, the ladder is added. The Pingala channel, or snake, is the right side of the ladder, the Ida or white channel is the left, and the Sushumna is the main pole or tree that runs straight up the center. This ladder can be viewed straight like a conventional ladder or twisted like a spiral staircase or DNA strand.

Those who view the ladder as straight, refer to it as following the straight and narrow or as following the middle way.

From this angle we can see the symbol health professionals use today, the caduceus. Again the spiraling energy channels appear flat in drawings and other art-forms.

The ladder is completed with seven rungs to hold the "seals," chakras, or levels.

Those who see the ladder as spiraled or twisted, refer it it as the winding road or the meandering river.

The Snake, The Serpent, or Kundalini

The snake is actually the red energy channel. The Hindu tradition calls this the Pingala channel and it brings up The Passion, The Kundalini, or fire into the system.

The kundalini snake is commonly referred to as having three and a half coils. This conical spiral is also a common marking found in celtic art.

When a person peers into the container from the top, the red side of the spiral staircase comes into view. Because the container is concave shaped, only the bottom three and a half swirls can be seen. From this angle, it looks like a snake is coiled up at the bottom of the Sushumna, central pole, or world axis.

But when viewed from a different angle we see that the actual shape of the Pingala channel or snake is three dimensional and actually extends the full length of the Sushumna, world axis, or center pole.

Lightning or White dragon

All the same symbolism of the Pingala channel applies to the Ida channel. It too looks like a coiled snake or dragon when viewed from bottom up.

The Ida channel is white and it brings down Grace, The Light, or water into the system.

Here are the origins of Thor and Zeus' lightning bolt. The ultimate punishment for men or intellectually based personalities. The Eastern religions refer to this element as the white dragon.

To be fully enlightened and able to teach anyone on the mystical path, a person must complete both directions of the ladder. Otherwise, there is a high probability of injuring the student. This is why only a very small percentage of people who aspire to spiritual enlightenment ever attain it.

Ezekiel's Wheels

The Wheels of Ezekiel are added. The wheel above the container matches Ezekiel's description of an expanse of ice. Ezekiel does not report the black disc. The existence of the black disc can be extrapolated in the same way astronomers determine black holes, through the eclipses of the white object.

The inner sanctum is reached by breaking through one of the stoppers at either the top or the bottom. This begins the spiritual journey.

This was the hardest model to create. While it is not the exact configuration that I imagined, it is close enough to give a visual representation. In a perfect model the glass would be pinched in more, where the stoppers on the top and bottom now exist.

Ezekiel reports that there are four pillars that look the same but move the chariot of God in all directions. This basic model is the same for all four spiritual types when it is stationary. However, the four pillars create the four different spiritual types by moving differently.

Yin and Yang

When the three dimensional model is viewed from the top down, it looks very close to a familiar symbol found in Taoism; the Yin Yang. The container and center pole are invisible. This shows the inter-connections of the Taoist Tiger and Dragon or what Christians call Grace and Passion.

The actual yin yang symbol incorporates the spin of each energy and the connections between these two basic energies. The equality of Grace, known as the Divine Masculine, and Passion, known as the Divine Feminine, is emphasized by the symmetry of the symbol.

Both Wheels are easily descernible because the Wheel of Grace is physically higher than the background clouds. While we do not perceive the actual depth when we view the model from directly above, it is this depth that allows us to see the Wheel of Grace clearly.

The traditional Christian red and white are changed to the Taoist black and white. We can interpret the black as the same energy as The Blood or The Passion, because pooled blood does appear black.

Star and Crescent

When the three dimensional model is observed from the bottom upwards, it is possible to see the crescent moon and star. The eclipse of the Wheel of Grace brings Islam's main symbol into focus.

The Wheel of Passion fades into the night sky while the crescent moon and star shine brightly.

The Complete Blueprint
in Two-Dimension

The way this three-dimensional form is traditionally viewed, is to lay it on its side, creating a two-dimensional diagram or blueprint. The center pole, ladder, and container are now visible through the interlocking portion of the two circles. To symbolize the outer path, a dotted line connecting the center tops and the center bottoms of the circles is drawn in.

When the system is examined like this, we can clearly see the fish tower or two fish swimming in opposite directions. Many will recognize the astrological sign of Pisces.

This combination of colors allows all the inner workings of the model to be discernible.

The silver and gold spheres are reminiscent of the wedding rings on the book's cover.

In the red and white model, it is possible to see why the rising of The Passion energy is the dominate method in current Christian practice. The Way of Grace is practically invisible against heaven's background of white.
